Licensed Practical Nurses are certified healthcare professionals that are trained in offering basic health management. They may assist Registered Nurses and doctors as they provide patients treatment and may be trusted with follow-up care, like cleaning and dressing wounds and assisting clients as they take their medications. In some facilities, LPNs are assigned to take patients’ health history and collect samples that will be sent to the laboratory for testing. They can also educate the patients and their family members about the patients’ health condition, the purpose of their medications and treatment, and other factors.
