Medical Technicians work on the front lines of healthcare to aid patient care with their medications.
A certified medication technician (CMT) is a nurse assistant who has completed additional specialization training in medications and records. Certified medication technicians or medication assistants commonly work in long-term assisted living and medical facilities under the supervision of registered nurses. CMTs are responsible for giving patients with non-injectable prescription medications. They work closely with licensed practical nurses or registered professional nurses in medication therapy to assist patients with their medications.
